Rays, 2014 Season, 2014 (London Mens Baseball League (over 30 league))

A hard fought battle between the Red Sox and Rays tonight with our boys coming out of the game with a 6-5 walk off win. Cory Burtch knocked in Joel Rypan with the winning run with one out to seal the deal and make the RAYS the 2014 B CHAMPIONS. Even though 2014 has been a learning experience for this Rays team..........we still have a good reason to play this Sunday and capture the B Championship. The last 4 weeks have shown us all how we are capable of playing in this league.  Let's all come to the diamond ready to play and enjoy the last game of the season.  See you all at the yard............... Simply a great team effort last night in our 5-0 victory over the Red Sox.Props to the great defense and to Joel's dinger to set the tone of the night.We stole bases, made great throws and played like the Rays of old. Lets keep building on this momentum. As always.....many thanks to the fans for supporting us all year.

Hello RAYS nation............... Well.....we had a very interesting first half of the 2014 season. At times we were our own worst enemies. There were some very positive moments and I for one..........see GREAT things for the second half. Stick with us.........the RAYS are a gritty bunch of ball players and we will prevail! What a great team effort on June 8th. Despite giving up two runs in the top of the first....the RAYS answered with runs in the first 5 innings on way to a 6-2 victory over the Aquarium Sharks. Great hitting, fantastic defense including a pick off at first and stellar pitching all contributed to getting the RAYS back to the .500 mark. After the game the team gathered with fans and had another enjoyable BBQ. We raised some $$$ for our much needed new helmet bag. Thanks to all who attended. All the best, Coach BRAD Go RAYS!!!!
