Aquarium Services Loses Despite Outhitting the Werewolves
The Werewolves were triumphant over Aquarium Services 4-3 on Monday at
CityWide Upper.
A double by Kevin Martin put Aquarium Services on the board in the
bottom of the first.
In the top of the second inning, the Werewolves went back into the
lead after Phil Bruijns singled down the left field line, and Jeff Keays
grounded out, each scoring one run.
Brandon Field singled down the left field line, which helped
Aquarium Services tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.
The Werewolves captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the fourth after
Tyler Koot grounded out, and Dean Mailloux singled down the right field line,
each scoring one run.
Tom Couchie began the game for the Werewolves. The righty surrendered
four hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one.
Taylor Jones began the game for Aquarium Services. The pitcher gave up two hits
and two runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out two and walking none.
Mark Drewe tossed three innings of scoreless ball for the Werewolves in relief. The
lefty allowed two hits, striking out two and walking one.
Addison Kipp led the Werewolves with two hits in three at bats.
Bruijns and Mailloux each drove in one run for the the Werewolves.
Martin and Field each drove in one run for Aquarium Services. Doug
Gilbert went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead Aquarium Services in hits.
