It's.....TIME!
Nobody can do it quite like Buffer...but the LMBL Executive and Leadership group are excited that we are only a few days away from our 2025 season-opening games!
We have a three games scheduled for Monday at both Labatt Park and Dan Pulham beginning at 9:15AM, then one more at CityWide Upper beginning at 2:45PM to kick off our hotly anticipated opening day this Victoria Day weekend.
The first 13 games of the season will see each team playing every other team one time to determine division placement for the playoffs. After 13 games, teams will be seeded into 'A' and 'B' Divisions based on overall record for the remainder of the season (and playoffs). Top 6 teams in 'A' and the remaining 8 teams in 'B'. We will play 3 more regular season games within those divisions (randomly drawn schedule) to determine final seedings for playoffs within each division.
Back by popular demand and due to incredible success in recent years, we will hold our annual All-Star game at Labatt Park on Saturday Aug 16th. We will continue to showcase the talent in our league at the pre-game challenges such as a Home Run Derby and the bunting competition! Music and an on-site BBQ will ensure this event will be a highlight of the season!
Our annual banquet is changing venues this year, and will be held at the Highland Golf & Country Club on Oct 18th. Team awards, League trophies, Presidents address, and league Financials are all items covered on this evening - not to mention a fantastic full service dinner and cash bar - and a pre-event Learn-to-Curl session for those interested (no additional charge!). Mark your calendar - as this is an event you won't want to miss.
