Expansion franchise LMBL Rockies earn first win as bats blistered in 14-9 win over Expos!

Bats were blistered as Rockies defeated Expos 14-9 on Sunday.

Expos got things moving in the first inning, when Dale Crannie induced Brett Thomas to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Rockies pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third Chris Giffen singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Crannie singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run, Brandon Campbell (spare) singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Mike Scott drew a walk, scoring one run, and Adam Bender singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Crannie got the win for Rockies. The hurler surrendered seven runs on six hits over three innings, striking out one and walking one. Will Bushby threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Marco Desbiens took the loss for Expos. The bulldog allowed ten hits and ten runs over two innings, striking out one.

Rockies collected 12 hits on the day. Crannie, Scott, and Tyler McTaggart each racked up multiple hits for Rockies. McTaggart, Scott, and Crannie each collected two hits to lead Rockies.

Expos racked up nine hits in the game. Kyle Ledermann (spare), Jake Draper, and Desbiens each managed multiple hits for Expos. Expos didn't commit a single error in the field. Kyle Provily had four chances in the field, the most on the team.
