2023 Season Format
The league executive met recently, and have approved a new structure for the 2023 playing season.
The new format will be as follows:
For 2023 we are going to continue to begin the year as a single division schedule for 13 games. All teams play each other one time. This will provide every team the opportunity to be eligible to 'win' their way into the A pool playoffs - and not be relegated to B from the outset.
After 13 games, teams will be divided into two playoff pools based on overall record (top 6 in A and remaining 8 in B). We will play 3 more games for seeding within those divisions (random draw schedule, against teams from within your division).
For the playoffs, teams will be seeded within their division based on overall record .
Playoff Round 1 for A, the top two teams will get a bye to round 2 (but still play a game to determine home-field advantage throughout the playoffs), with 3v6 and 4v5. In B, it will be 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, and 4v5.
Playoff Round 2 in A, winners of 3v6 and 4v5 will play the two bye teams, with losers being eliminated. In B the winners play each other, and losers playing a Consolation Round.
Playoff Round 3 will have all winners play in the Finals - A, B, and B Consolation.
