Planning is under way for the 2024 edition of the LMBL All Star game - with the festivities kicking off at 2PM on Saturday August 10th @ the worlds oldest baseball grounds - Labatt Park!
Prior to the game (start time scheduled for 5PM), we will have a "Skills" Competition (2-4:30). Players participating should come early to be stretched and ready for action.
The events for the Skills Competition will be 1) Bunting Contest, 2) Throwing Accuracy and 3) Home Run Derby.
Each team in the LMBL will be represented with 2 "All Stars" for the game. A Pitching representative (who will only be tasked to throw 1 inning) and an offensive All Star.
With 14 teams sending two players each this means rosters will only be 14 players per Team.
There is also the option for teams to send additional players for any of the Skills events. The players participating in the skills competitions do not have to be your All Stars, they can be anyone from your team. So potentially teams can be represented with up to 5 players.
We will have prizes for each event Winner, and all participants will receive a limited edition LMBL Beer Glass!
This event hopes to have a summer picnic/party feel. All are welcome to join the festivities, as there will be music, BBQ, the executive and hopefully you too!
The Game will also be streamed live via GameChanger - in high-definition video for those who can't make the game!
This is a Recreational League after all, so let's be recreational and have some fun with this event!
